Volunteer Appreciation Week

April 15, 2018 - April 21, 2018

The Town of Hanna is proud to have a dedicated number of citizens that volunteer to keep Hanna strong and vibrant.

Appreciation night is April 17. Volunteering comes in many forms and is as diverse as Canada itself. Someone who shovels their neighbour’s laneway or who brings a lost pet to the animal shelter is helping to build a stronger community. Sometimes we miss recognizing these people as volunteers, because they do not occupy a formal role within an organization or group.

As volunteers in Hanna, you deserve to be thanked for your involvement. You are personally invited to join us for decadent desserts and the captivating Doug Arden comedy show!

R.S.V.P. the number attending to the Town Office at 403-854-4433 on or before Friday, April 12th

May 6 -12, 2018

Hanna Town Office

Whether you live in a small town, village or on a farm, being personally prepared to go it alone for at least 72 hours is critical to making it through what could be a life threatening incident.  Taking some of the pressure off a system that is going to be stretched to the limit, gives first responders and emergency planners the ability to target the needs of those who are truly most vulnerable.

If you or your family are caught in an emergency or disaster, are you prepared? Do you have a 72 hour kit? and emergency plan?

Visit www.getprepared.gc.ca for more information.
